General Questions
What are your business hours?
We are open 7 days a week. Our office is open from 9am until 5pm Monday through Friday and 10am until 3pm Saturday and Sunday.
How do I book a rental car?
You can call us, email us or visit our office in person.
Where are you located?
We are conveniently located at
3119 Hwy 70 SE Newton, NC 28658 - across from Hickory Motor Speedway.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept prepaid and bank debit cards, credit cards, cash, and mobile payments such as Cash App and Venmo. We do not currently accept ApplePay or GooglePay.

Is a deposit required to rent a car?
Yes. If paying with cash, the car rental deposit is $200. If you pay using a debit or credit card, the deposit fee is $100.
Rental Requirements
What are the age requirements to rent a car?
You must be 21 years of age or older to rent a car from Economy Car Rental.
What documents do I need to rent a car?
You'll need a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and your payment.
Can I use an international driver's license?
We do not currently accept international driver's licenses for car rental bookings.
Car Rental Policies
Is there a mileage limit?
No. All of our rental cars are available with unlimited miles.
Do you offer refunds for early returns?
Yes. Our rental rates run in 24 hour periods.
Can I add an additional driver?
Yes. Additional drivers may be added to your booking. Any driver added must meet the same requirements as the main vehicle operator. There is no charge for an additional driver.
Is insurance included in the rental price?
No. You must provide proof of insurance upon booking.
What happens if I return the car late?
Please contact us in advance by phone, email or website if you anticipate a delay.
Can I modify or cancel my reservation?
Yes. Please call us at 828-465-3260 to modify your reservation.

Do you allow pets in rental cars?
No.
